Services

Maintenance & development

Half the enquiries are not about new features. They are about a contractor who disappeared while the product kept running and the business still needs it. We start with a technical audit: code, infrastructure, dependencies — and an honest verdict on what can be fixed and what is cheaper to rewrite.

Pricingfrom $700 / month

01 — What's included

  • Technical audit with written findings and a risk assessment
  • Bug fixing with agreed response times
  • Feature development by sprint or by the hour
  • Dependency updates and vulnerability patching
  • Performance work: profiling, query optimisation, caching
  • Monitoring and error tracking where none exists
  • Documentation when the previous contractor left none

02 — When you need this

  • The contractor stopped replying and the product still needs to move forward
  • The site or service keeps falling over and nobody knows why
  • You need one or two engineers on the team on an ongoing basis
  • The app has not been updated in a while and is about to fall out of the stores

Pricing

from $700 / month

The rate depends on hours and required response time. Same-business-day response starts at $700 per month. Round-the-clock cover with one-hour response starts at $2,800. A standalone audit with no ongoing work is $1,700.

05 — Questions about this practice

Maintenance & development

Yes, that is most of this practice. Two exceptions: no access to the source code, or a stack so exotic that we would be learning it at your expense. In both cases we say so plainly.
